Work Experience 2009-present Founder, Director, Prime Petroleum Services, Inc., Glyfada, GR Planned, organized, and sustaining a reputable bunker broker services company handling marine fuels & lubricants purchases of a large number of Greek Shipping clients. In the first year, stemmed with over 36 accounts — 60 % of inquiries were fixed. Company grew from 1.5 employees to 4 currently and supporting a 48% fixing rate in a highly demanding and highly competitive, long standing volatile market. 2007-2008 Sales & Marketing Manager, O.W. Bunker Malta, Pir, GR Provided & executed effectively a sales action plan that increased sales by 50%. Promoted the company and led a team of 5 sales people; vetted suppliers and traders which added to the increase of sales. Organized and ran promotional events. 2005-2007 Senior Trader/Marketing Coordinator, Island Oil Ltd., Pir, GR All Sales & Marketing functions; handled Bunker Inquiries and vetted suppliers for the group. Assisted in restructuring office in organizational and marketing areas, making tasks more efficient. 2002-2005 Founder & Bunker Broker, Prime Petroleum Services, Inc., Pir, GR Planned, prepared, organized, & executed the set up of a new bunker sales company dealing with marine fuels & lubs. Daily activities: same as previous job details with the addition of owner’s responsibilities of directing, management, accounting, training, besides marketing and personnel functions. In the first year, stemmed with over 30 first class shipping accounts — 40 % of inquiries were fixed. 1998-2002 Bunker Broker, Marine Fuels Ltd., Glyfada, GR  Collected & negotiated marine bunker prices worldwide for vessels; handled indications, inquiries, bunker stems, follow-up, & bunker claims; set up credit for the company and clients with suppliers; marketed the company to new clients; established more efficient methods for daily office operations; researched daily market status and prepared and issued a Daily Market Report; responsible for ISO certification. 1995-1997 Systems Analyst Ceres Joint Hydrofoil Service, (Flying Dolphins), Piraeus, GR_  Assisted in the set up & procedures of the newly computerized reservation and check-in system (AFOS) for the Flying Dolphins Hydrofoils. Developed manuals, guides & updates (“HOW TO”) regarding AFOS procedures.  Responsible for training, interface & monitoring over 40 agents, staff, and new recruits on the AFOS system (which included three months of traveling to the island ports of the Argosaronic Gulf and other sites). Supervised installation week in Spetses site.
