After internal discussion with the team of BlueGrowth Initiative we made the difficult decision to postpone the BLUEGROWTH Presentation of emerging maritime startups in Greece until late May of this year.
Our decision is based on current facts and guidance from international and national authorities which last week upgraded the global risk of coronavirus outbreak to “very high”. We strongly believe that the safety and health of all visitors, speakers, participants employees and the citizens of the region we operate in has the utmost priority for us.
We would like to thank our dear sponsors for the crucial support and confidence, our participants for the interest and partners who have stood by us for the past few days and weeks and shown confidence to our team.
We look forward to welcoming you on our event soon, new date will be announced.
Mature tech startups will pitch their projects in the field of shipping, energy and yachting industry. The startups will present next-generation technologies and services and will have the opportunity to develop their network, as they will meet and exchange ideas and experience with passionate and target audience from the sector of blue economy.
The initiative is conducted under the auspices of Hellenic Chamber of Shipping and the Ministry of Digital Governance and co-hosted by Piraeus Port Authority.
The aim of the initiative is to infuse the day after the event, the new beginning, with our vision which encapsulates the essence and true meaning of Blue Growth: originality, creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
BlueGrowth promotes innovative business ideas relating to the blue economy through a range of environmental, economic and social responsibility initiatives. Since 2014, BlueGrowth has reached measurable results, as 41 promising maritime start-ups have been distinguished from the previous BlueGrowth Competitions and 26 of them are now successful companies that have a presence not only in Greece but also abroad.
